Its ski lift will elevate you to Sentry Hill, one of the highest peaks on St Maarten / St Martin. The view is amazing on itself and allows sights of neighboring islands Anguilla, Saba, Statia / St Eustatius, St Barths and St Kitts.

Those landlubbers with fear of heights can take the chair lift back; for thrill seekers this is only where the party starts. The Flying Dutchman is the steepest zipline in the world; and its fellow Rainforest Adventures Schooner and Soualiga Sky Explorer offer you just as much downhill fun. You can choose your own excursion package or all day pass.

For young and older aspiring pirates in training, check out the brand new Rusty Parrot excursion. Enter a sunken galleon and discover the true story of pirates in the Caribbean. For more curious minds who love to puzzle – try one of the four escape rooms at Dutch Blonde Beach Bar which is the first in the Caribbean.

Sports on St Maarten / St Martin

Dutch side St Maarten’s golf course offers a unique opportunity to hit your golf ball along St Maarten’s famed Mullet Bay Beach. Bike fanatics can choose to do either guided tours or rent one out one self to explore areas near their hotel. Horse riding is available at Seaside Nature Park. Various tennis, padel and basketball courts are at hand for fans of ball sports. Philipsburg’s famed boardwalk is a popular location for running.
