When coming from Princess Juliana Airport (SXM), drive around the airport fence with the runway on your right and enter Simpson Bay. Follow its main road for over a mile until the road turns left and you are on the Kruythoff Roundabout. Turn right and go up the hill.
When you reach a next roundabout, cross it and keep going straight down along the hill. On the third roundabout, turn right. Keep following this road until you reach Pondfill Road with on the left the Great Salt Pond and on your right Philipsburg. Continue this road until you reach a fourth roundabout with the Emancipation Monument. Turn left, and follow this road for 15 minutes until you reach a junction in Oyster Pond. Don’t go to the left French side but turn right in the direction of Oyster Bay Beach Resort. When the road to the latter resort goes left, you continue to the right. When over the hill, the driveway to Princess Heights is directly on your right.
From Little Bay, follow the main road into town with the sea on your right hand, go straight into Front Street for 1km until the Courthouse and turn left until you reach the Great Salt Pond and Pondfill Road (this latter route not advisable on cruise days). When cruise ships are in, avoid Front Street and go left instead of entering this street, then first right and straight towards the Great Salt Pond / Pondfill.
