Osborne Kruythoff was a voluntary traffic manager in the early days of automobile of St Maarten, the sixties. Even there were as few as 83 cars, Kruythoff directed and gave his opinion how to drive. The latter is the more fascinating as he himself did not know how to. Although he could not drive himself, he was full of advice on how one should handle a car. He continued directing traffic until the number of cars overwhelmed him.
