For underwater enthusiasts St Maarten / St Martin is a great diving destination. The outlying wreck and reef sites provides fantastic diving and excellent photo opportunities. The water is warm and inviting; and the marine life is abundant. Moray eels, turtle and southern stingray are common sightings – and frog fish and jaw fish are a treat to find.
Will you be joining in on a tour, please arrive on time for the briefing. Important to consider, one needs to be in good health to participate in diving activities.
There are various companies that offer numerous courses; PADI St Maarten, Dive St Maarten, Dive Safari and Aqua mania.
Persons interested in diving are required to support the preservation of protected areas, the Nature Foundation St. Maarten offers dive tags for a small fee. Feel free to visit their website for more information.
