For more than 30 years, the University of St. Martin (USM) has been a regional leader in affordable, high-quality education. USM, which was founded in 1989 to improve the quality of life in St. Martin and the surrounding region, continues to educate the population and aspires to contribute to the development of an educated nation by having at least one member of every household attain an associate degree or higher.
Hospitality and Tourism Management and Business are two of its notable programs, both of which are accredited by the United Kingdom’s Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC).
Through collaborations with the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI@USM), students can earn accredited bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration, Social Work, and Education. Non-degree courses such as GED, ESL, CEP, and ALP are also available at USM as stepping stones to higher education or skill development. The History and Culture of St. Martin course, which includes a scavenger hunt, immerses students in the island’s history.
