SMN-N: SINT MAARTEN LIBRARY PROMOTES EARLY LITERACY AT SINT MAARTEN MEDICAL CENTER
PHILIPSBURG – To mark International Literacy Month, the Sint Maarten Library generously contributed ten “Read to Me” BoekStart Koffertjes to the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC), with the goal of advancing early literacy and empowering parent-child bonding through communal reading experiences. Shari de Riggs, SMMC’s Communications Officer, conveyed her satisfaction in teaming up with the library to motivate youthful intellects. This collaboration strengthens families in SXM as they cultivate the early literacy of their children, encouraging parents and caretakers to actively participate in their youngsters’ initial literary education.
