SHTA’S VISIT MAGAZINE LAUNCHES 2ND CAMPAIGN IN USA TODAY

To further stimulate St. Maarten’s occupancy over summer, the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA)’s hotel magazine VISIT St. Maarten / St. Martin launched a new “Time to Visit St. Maarten” campaign this week in US Newspaper USA Today.

 

 

A captivating half-page advertisement highlighting the destination and extending a warm invitation to visit the island during the summer months. The ad will run in the USA Today edition in the Northeastern United States USA Today Edition over the upcoming month.

 

 

Building on last year’s collaborative efforts, the campaign is a rerun of a joint effort to increase summer tourism. With a shared vision of promoting St. Maarten / St. Martin as a year round destination SHTA and NSN are elated to join forces once again.

 

This was announced today by the association and VISIT publisher NorthSouthNet (NSN). The campaign is in line with many of SHTA’s efforts to improve summer occupancy, which traditionally has been lower compared to winter while the destination is open and lively.

 

 

As a testament to SHTA’s commitment, the outlines for the new campaign were set in January with the three partners. NSN CEO Garry Duell: “SHTA, NSN want to get across that the island is a great place to be throughout the year. This second summer campaign serves to support both the destination and SHTA membership by means of this campaign”.

 

 

To further enhance St. Maarten’s occupancy in summer, the association organized a brainstorm in conjunction with the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau for an additional summer campaign and currently assists with promotion of its outcomes. It calls on its members to contact the offices of the tourism bureau to take part.
