CRUISEHIVE: NEW “CELEBRITY ASCENT” STARTS SEA TRIALS, THEN SAILS TO ST MAARTEN
Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, named Celebrity Ascent, is currently doing trial runs in the ocean as it gets ready to set sail. This ship is the fourth one in the Edge class and it took two years to build at a shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Its very first trip will start on December 3, 2023, for a 7-night cruise in the Eastern Caribbean that leaves from Port Everglades.
During the cruise, the ship will stop at places like St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Puerto Plata, and the Dominican Republic. Onboard, there will be 30 places to eat and relax, and different types of rooms to choose from, including AquaClass, ConciergeClass, Edge staterooms, and a luxurious accommodation place called The Retreat.
