This beautiful long beach at the south east of the island as well as the area around it was named by the Taino for the presence of the ancient looking docile reptiles that lived there. We call them iguanas but kept the original name for this site.
Guana Bay is home to many villas with a beautiful view over the ocean. Due to the strong currents in Guana Bay, it is advised to swim here only when experienced.
