Below Deck is a reality TV series that follows the lives of the crew working on luxury superyachts. The show is set in stunning destinations, combines luxury, travel and interpersonal tensions. Because the show is such a success, Bravo TV made multiple spin-offs including: Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Adventure.
Season 12 of Below Deck will take place in St Maarten. Captain Kerry Titheradge was spotted in April 2024 on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten, along with the superyacht St. David anchored just off its coast, sparking buzz on social media.
Superyacht St David
St. David is an 60-meter superyacht, which was was also spotted in Season 10 and 11 of Below Deck. With opulent accommodations for 12 guests, including a split-level master suite, and luxurious features like a skylight-lit staircase and extensive water toy collection, it epitomizes high-end yachting.
The cast
Below Deck Season 12 will debut on Bravo TV in the late spring or early summer. Rumor has it that the new season contains new and old crewmembers. It brings the return of Captain Kerry Titheradge and chief stew Fraser Olender. Some say Sunny Marquis and chef Anthony Iracane’s will also take part.
Simpson Bay Lagoon
The franchise’s very first episode was filmed in St. Maarten, and Season 5 also featured the island, with its superyachts moored in Simpson Bay Lagoon. The area often becomes a backdrop for memorable moments, including glamorous New Year’s Eve celebrations with the crew.
The Simpson Bay Lagoon is one of the Caribbean’s premier yachting hotspots. It is accessible through the Simpson Bay Bridge that opens several times a day for luxury yachts, spans two nations: Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin, creating a unique mix of cultures. With beaches like Maho Beach and Simpson Bay Beach nearby, the lagoon is surrounded by stunning views and vibrant nightlife.
