Swimming at Guana Bay Beach is dangerous and generally not recommended for inexperienced swimmers because the currents and undertows can be very strong. The beach faces the open Atlantic Ocean, making it much more suited for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing.
The beautiful shoreline stretches for roughly 500 meters and features a completely sandy shoreline. The sand slopes gently into the sea, providing a very gradual entry into the water without the need for special protective footwear.
There are no built-in facilities, restaurants, bars, or amenities directly located on Guana Bay Beach. Visitors should make sure to bring their own food, drinks, and supplies if they are planning to stay for the day.
