One Day St. Maarten Cruise Visit Itinerary to Anguilla

St. Maarten is a popular and busy port of call, leading to the fact that some cruise visitors have explored many of its shore excursions and want to use the hub island as stepping stone to broaden their Caribbean horizons and explore surrounding island destinations for a change.

The closest by island destination is Anguilla, known for its pearl white beaches and ubiquitous tranquility. At its closest point, this dependency of the United Kingdom is only 7km from French side St. Martin. With private charters, you can spend your cruise visit day here. Here is a travel plan example for a shared catamaran charter to Anguilla with the experts of Private Yacht Charters.

Your Anguilla excursion will depart at Bobby’s Marina at 9am. Bobby’s is within a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. Should you not have eaten breakfast yet, pop by popular Chesterfields next to the marina before departure. The route will head to Anguilla directly, but in the process you will see St. Maarten / St. Martin like you have never done before – from the sea.

Your Anguilla stops include the gorgeous beaches of Rendezvous Bay, Maundays Bay and Meads Bay. You will visit photogenic Sandy Island with its palm trees, buildings and turquoise waters.

Lunch and drinks are catered for. If you come with a larger group, you can also decide to take a private charter with your group (maximum 12).

Back in Philipsburg

You will be back at Bobby’s Marina at 4pm. It is only 20 minutes walking distance from here to the cruise port.

The marina is right at the beginning of the Philipsburg boardwalk and Front Street. If your ship schedule allows, you can head out for a short souvenir shopping spree. The St. Maarten Heritage Museum is also a stone throw away from Bobby’s. A farewell drink at close by St. Rose Beach Bar or local favorites Aziana or Grumpy’s on the way back is another way to spend some time before departure.
