SOUALIGA NEWSDAY: THE ANNUAL SINT MAARTEN YACHT CLUB RAFFLE AND SILENT AUCTION FOR THE YOUTH SAILING PROGRAM IS APRIL 15TH
SINT MAARTEN YACHT CLUB FUNDRAISER
On the 15th of April, the Sint Maarten Yacht Club hosts their annual raffle and silent auction to raise funds for their Youth Sailing Program.
They SMYC believe it is very important for children to be able to sail even if their parents are not able to afford it, and making sure the kids are able to sail anyway is exactly what they do. For the raffle, multiple companies will donate prizes that will be given away. The prizes consist of services, goods and vouchers. Because of the big amount of prizes, the odds are very favorable for people to win something. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the SMYC office, Monday – Saturday form 9 AM – 5 PM. The price is $5.00 per ticket or $20.00 for 5 tickets.
Last year the fundraising was a great success. 175 companies donated prizes and almost 14.000 dollars were collected. Apart from the funds, the atmosphere was really positive the whole night.
