HOSPITALITY NET: US TRAVELERS LOOK TO THE CARIBBEAN FOR LONGER STAYS

Long – Term Stays on the Caribbean More than Doubled, Research Included the Island of St Maarten / St Martin as Well

According to Airbnb, the number of nights travelers stay on one of the Caribbean islands doubled between 2019 and 2021. On St Maarten, the number of bookings for 28 nights or more, doubled.

This is partly due to the campaign of CTO, concerning “Working in the Caribbean”. Working from home makes possible for people to work and see different cultures at the same time.

Opportunity for Resorts and Boutique Hotels

Resorts and Boutique Hotels can respond to this. Airbnb says that the long-term tourists mainly search for wireless internet, kitchen, air conditioner, pool, washer, free parking, TV or cable, allows pets, dryer and laptop-friendly workspace.
