St. Maarten Cruise Ships’ Inaugural Calls in 2027

St. Maarten receives approximately 200 to 250 cruise ship calls each year, with thousands of cruise visitors looking for things to do while in port many days of the year.

Every year, new cruise ships are welcomed at Port St. Maarten for the first time. These inaugural calls are often more than just ceremonies for officials; they also provide something exciting for tourists and cruise enthusiasts to look out for.

In 2027, at least three new cruise ships are expected to appear on the St. Maarten cruise calendar. Below is an overview of their scheduled inaugural calls.

Some spectator tips if this sounds like a great outing for you:

Fort Amsterdam offers a unique viewpoint to watch ships arrive, turn, and “park” in the port.

If you want to watch a cruise ship carrying a loved one dock in St. Maarten, you can now follow the arrival through a live boardwalk webcam at Seaview Beach Hotel.

Take a catamaran tour from Philipsburg with PYC or Eagle Tours for magnificent views of the ships in port.

To avoid the Proselyte and other reefs, ships must make a detour to the west before entering Great Bay and then head in other directions after their one-day visit. Amongst others Simpson Bay Beach, Cay Bay Beach, Little Bay Beach, and of course Philipsburg’s Great Bay Beach all offer views of ships arriving and departing.

1. January 13: Seven Seas Prestige

This is Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ship. Its first currently scheduled call at Philipsburg is Wednesday, January 13, 2027. The ship will arrive as part of a 10-night Eastern Caribbean voyage from Miami.

2. April 27: Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber

The newest addition to the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, Beachcomber, will arrive in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, for the first time on Tuesday, April 27, 2027.

3. July 13: Carnival Festivale

This is likely the biggest new ship of the three for St. Maarten. Carnival describes Festivale as a truly new ship, and it will begin sailing in 2027. Its Eastern Caribbean itinerary includes St. Maarten on Tuesday, July 13, 2027. The ship is scheduled to return to St. Maarten several times, including August 11, September 7, and November 30, 2027.
