Activity of the Week: Sint Maarten Yacht Club

The Sint Maarten Yacht Club & Sailing School is dedicated to promoting sailing on Sint Maarten through a wide range of engaging activities. They organize exciting races and regattas open to both members and non-members, while also offering group and private sailing classes for youth and adults. With a large fleet of dinghy sailboats available for rent, sailors of all skill levels can explore the water at their own pace. Beyond sailing, the club brings the community together with monthly Trivia Nights and other social events that foster a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Their key mission is making sailing accessible to as many people as possible through meaningful community programs. The sailing school provides free lessons for primary school students during school hours, supported by donations and the local government, including the SWIM 2 SAIL program designed for children who are not yet confident in the water. They also offer free sailing classes for students with mental or physical disabilities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the sport.
