Among St. Maarten / St. Martin’s clientele have been United States presidents, royalty, and celebrities. The island even served as the setting for a high-level summit between Presidents Bush and Mitterrand, a unique event for the Caribbean.
However, when these heads of state, as well as the rich and famous, chose St. Maarten / St. Martin, they were not here solely for summits, state visits, concerts during Carnival, or events such as the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.
In most cases, they came for leisure. Like all other visitors, they were drawn by the island’s beaches, Caribbean climate, stunning landscapes, and, last but certainly not least, its exceptional cuisine.
This legacy has helped establish a tradition of maintaining high standards and meeting demanding expectations in many restaurants across the island. Dedicated St. Maarten fine dining establishments do not focus on quantity, but rather on quality, offering memorable experiences for discerning food lovers.
