Eusebio Richardson is our new Terrestrial Ranger. His main task is to help manage the vervet monkey population on Sint Maarten as they are an invasive species.
The Nature Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization located on the island of St. Maarten, in the heart of the Caribbean. We aim to preserve and enhance the natural environment of St. Maarten in the present moment and for generations to come through a variety of education-, preservation- and research- initiatives.
How does your Terrestrial Ranger contribute to making your organization better?
The Terrestrial Ranger fills a role that is desperately needed as the invasive species greatly affects our biodiversity. We are also trying to find a location or locations to identify as a Nature Reserve Park, where we can protect our local flora and fauna along with our native animal species.
