THE DAILY HERALD: BUSINESS CLASS ONLY LA COMPAGNIE PLANS WEEKLY FLIGHTS TO ST MAARTEN
NEW AIR SERVICE FROM THE U.S.A. TO ST MAARTEN
Last week, a test flight was done of a new weekly flight. The flight is for travelers from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to St Maarten with the goal to create a route to St Maarten that matches the expectations people have of the route to Anguilla or St. Barths. The program is called La Compagnie and is welcomed by the Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication (TEATT) Arthur Lambriex.
The idea is a seven-night stay in selected hotels or villas, flying every Sunday from the fall of 2023 until April 2024. The aircraft can transport 76 passengers at a time and is business class only. The Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication (TEATT) Arthur Lambriex gave out special thanks to the St Maarten Tourism Bureau and other parties that were involved.
