SOUALIGA NEWSDAY: SINT MAARTEN TO HOST KING’S GAMES 2023 ON FRIDAY
IN HONOR OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS
On the 21st of April, the King’s Game ‘Koningsspelen’ will be hosted in honor of his Royal Highness, Willem-Alexander Claus George Ferdinand, King of the Netherlands his birthday. The event will include over 15 elementary school with a total of 3000 children, and is organized by the Department of Sports, within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports.
The King’s Games is an annual events throughout the entire Kingdom of the Netherlands, and includes over 6000 elementary schools. The theme of this year aims for everyone to participate. Every school participating received all the material needed to organize all the sports games.
Ropdolphe Samuel, Minister of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports, stated that he is really excited for this years kings games. Special gratitude goes out to the participating schools, the PE teachers and also Cake House Bakery for arranging the breakfast on the beginning of the day for all the children.
