SOUALIGA NEWSDAY: DEPT. OF CULTURE INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO LEARN THE “PONUM DANCE” IN PREP FOR THE EMANCIPATION DAY
You are invited to learn the Ponum Dance for Emancipation Day !
July 1st St Maarten celebrates Emancipation Day. According to the Emancipation Day the Departure of Culture invites everyone to learn the Ponum Dance. This is going to be a part of the reenactment called the ”Diamond 26 Run For Freedom”. This is a part where people reenact true stories from the past.
Join the workshop at the John Larmonie Center, located in Philipsburg , on Monay June 27th at 7:00pm .
