Pink Sunset Sail Draws Interest as St. Maarten Fundraiser Supports Breast Cancer Foundations
The annual Pink Sunset Sail will return to St. Maarten on October 3, bringing an evening of sailing, music and fundraising in support of two local breast cancer foundations. Organized by Aqua Mania Adventures, the event has already seen strong interest, with two boats reported full and bookings underway for a third.
The fundraiser supports Positive Foundation and Elektralyets Foundation, organizations working in breast cancer support and awareness on St. Maarten. With the event approaching, organizers are encouraging those planning to attend to arrange their tickets in advance.
An evening of sailing and fundraising
The Pink Sunset Sail combines a sunset excursion with opportunities to contribute to breast cancer support. The event begins with a pre-sail mixer before guests board the boats for a 90-minute trip along the St. Maarten coastline.
Music, drinks and the island’s evening scenery form part of the experience. The fundraiser also includes a raffle on each boat, with prizes contributed by businesses and organizations from across the community.
Raffle ticket sales offer another way for participants to support the cause. The contributions from local businesses provide prizes for guests while helping generate additional funds for the two participating foundations.
The event’s appeal lies in bringing people together for a social evening while supporting an important cause on the island.
Local businesses contribute raffle prizes
A large group of St. Maarten businesses and organizations is contributing prizes to this year’s raffle. The list includes accommodation providers, restaurants, beach bars, retailers, tour operators and other local businesses.
Among the contributors are Azure Hotel, Balls & Wine, Big Bastard’s Beach Bar, Caribbean Gems, Caribbean Palms, Carl’s & Sons, Celine Charters, CLT, Colony Manor Guest House, Del Mar, DK Gems, Dominos, Dutch Blonde Escape Rooms, Eagle Tours, Five Salon, Golf Association, Heavenly Water, Huppeldepup, Indigo, Alma Head Spa, Jax Steakhouse, Kalatua and Magic of Caribbean.
Other contributors include Pardon My French, PDG Supplies, Penha, Phoenix, Random Wind, Rendez Vous, Roma, Sha Massage Therapy, Signature, Arrindell Aviation, Simpson Bay Resort, Sint Maarten Yacht Club Sailing School, Sint Maarten Yacht Club Bar & Restaurant, Sonesta Maho, St Maarten Nectar, SXM Posters, Tracy’s Lights, Van Dorp Spaces, Winair and Zeebest. The range of participating businesses reflects the community involvement surrounding the fundraiser. Their donations help expand the selection of raffle prizes and provide another source of fundraising during the sailing event.
