CARNIVAL OFFICIALLY OPENED ON FRIDAY
CARNIVAL ST MAARTEN 2023 HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED
Last Friday, the Carnival in St Maarten has finally started! Like every year, the Carnival opened at the Carnival Village in Philipsburg with the jump-up. The parade started at St. John’s Estate and ended at the Village.
There was some delay in the start of the parade which caused some confusion by many people rather the parade was not cancelled. At first there seemed to be a problem with the police, but the St Maarten Carnival Development (SMCD) confirmed there were no troubles.
Eventually many people filled up the streets of St Maarten.
