SXM Padel’s newest sponsor: NAGICO Insurances
Belair, St. Maarten — SXM Padel Club Belair, known as the Padel Club of St. Maarten, is expressing appreciation to NAGICO Insurances for sponsoring the new covering at the Belair padel court. The club said the support represents an investment in both the facility and the health and wellness of the community.
The sponsorship highlights NAGICO’s commitment to corporate citizenship and reflects the company’s continued focus on supporting a healthier and more active community in St. Maarten.
NAGICO CEO Kyria Ali shared that supporting the initiative aligned well with the company’s goals, making the decision an easy one.
“We are in the business of protection, but we are also invested in people’s quality of life,” Ali said. “Projects like this encourage movement, connection, and preventive wellness in a way that feels inclusive. We are proud to support a space where people can play and become healthier as a result.”
Designed with durability in mind, the newly installed covering takes into account the court’s proximity to the sea and the island’s exposure to hurricane risk, key considerations for SXM Padel Club Belair and NAGICO Insurances. Finished in clean white, it also helps reflect heat and keep the court cooler during play.
“Thanks to this enhancement, players can spend more time on court throughout the day, even during St. Maarten’s hottest hours,” Ricardo Perez, Managing Director of SXM Padel Club Belair, said. “By reducing heat build up, the design lowers on court temperatures and improves the overall experience for everyone.”
With the NAGICO sponsored covering now in place, the Belair padel court is better positioned to welcome more players and support the sport’s continued growth on the island.
“We are grateful to NAGICO for helping us improve the playing experience and continue building a space that supports sport, connection, and wellness in our community,” Perez said.
