Beach of the Week: Happy Bay Beach

Out of more than 30 beaches, Happy Bay Beach truly earns the title of a hidden gem. Tucked away between Friar’s Bay and Grand Case on the French side of the island, this secluded cove has soft white sand, calm clear waters, and lush vegetation providing peaceful shade. Unlike more popular spots, there are no umbrellas, beach bars, or lounge chairs, so be prepared and bring enough water and snacks.

Getting to Happy Bay is part of the adventure: you’ll park at Friar’s Bay Beach and hike for about 10–15 minutes along a trail marked by orange arrows. The path winds through trees and over gentle terrain until you reach the secluded shoreline.
