Nettle Bay Beach (Baie Nettle) is located on the northern French side of Saint Martin / Sint Maarten between the Terres Basses/Lowlands area and the town of Marigot. The shoreline includes both lagoon-side and ocean-side sections, with calm shallow waters along the lagoon that are suitable for swimming and water sports, and a more open ocean side with shallow, rocky seabed that is less suitable for bathing.
The beach is backed by a long stretch of sand with views across the bay toward Anguilla, and the surrounding area has a mix of restaurants, small waterfront establishments and residential buildings. Because the bay opens broadly to the surrounding waters, conditions can vary with wind and tides, and swimmers should be aware of submerged rocks and changing depths.
