Baie Rouge Beach (also known as Red Bay) is a long sandy shoreline located in the Terres Basses/Lowlands area on the French side of Saint Martin/Sint Maarten, stretching for roughly 2 – 2.2 kilometres along the Caribbean coast. The beach features sand with a reddish-pink hue from crushed coral and is backed by gentle hills and occasional cliffs, with clear waters that are generally suitable for swimming and snorkeling, particularly near rocky areas.
There are few built-in facilities directly on the sand, so visitors typically bring their own beach gear; parking and a public entrance are available at the eastern end of the beach. Baie Rouge’s setting between residential and low-density development gives it a quieter, more natural character compared with more central resort beaches.
